Amazon agreed to invest up to $25B in Anthropic, adding to $8B previously invested, as part of an expanded deal to build AI infrastructure. Anthropic committed to spend $100B+ on AWS over 10 years, including Trainium chips, and secured up to 5 gigawatts of capacity. Amazon will invest $5B immediately with up to $20B tied to milestones at a $380B valuation. Amazon is also separately investing up to $50B in OpenAI.
