Amazon-Backed Startup Selling Customized Smartglasses

According to Business Insider, Thalmic Labs, now known as North, is launching a pair of custom smartglasses called Focals. North has raised $130 million to launch its smartglasses, and have acquired investors including Amazon, Intel, and top-tier venture capitalists. Each pair of glasses cost $1000 and require a custom fitting in Toronto or Brooklyn. These glasses will be able to display useful information like notifications, directions, and reminders as a heads-up display.
