Taiwanese rescuers have been working around the clock to help villagers in communities which have been cut off after roads and bridges were washed away by Typhoon Morakot. rescue worker trying to cross raging flood waters in Taitung had to be rescued himself after his inflatable boat overturned when a rope snapped.
