Amazing Owl Rescue from Roadway

We were notified about a Barred Owl who was in the road and would not fly away. My girlfriend immediately went to save it. We have made every attempt to contact bird sanctuaries and animal rescue organizations with very little luck. We allowed it to rest for the night and took it back where it was found for release. The owl refused to fly away. It eats, drinks and otherwise seems healthy. We made a perch in our barn and are hoping for the best
