Amanda May Moore - Awake

Free from the night air
I look on high and say a prayer.
It is time to begin yet another affair.
I am awake and fully aware
Of the beautiful sunrise- I sit and stare.
This is an event that is very rare
For us to both sit here with this sunrise to share.
But what is unfair
Is that it will not always be there.
The day will continue on and on without a care.
So it is in this moment that we must beware
That it needs to be cherished with lots of loving care.
