Amanda Lukas - Just A Thought

Oftentimes, I am let down
by people in whom I've placed a great amount
of confidence.
I find myself puzzled by it.
Why do I find it surprising
to be fooled time and time again
by the same type of event?
I've come to the conclusion that,
in some form or another,
the trust I place in such people
is but a lesson to be learned.
Each time I find myself confused
by the hurtfull actions another human being,
I get the same glorifying feeling
in knowing that I must,
in some way,
be better than such a person
by simply taking time to realize
I might just have be taught some sort of morals
that others haven't taken into consideration.
