Description

Make no mistake, my dear, to pardon all my sins.
Never once had you doubted me, nor distrusted my integrity.
I bid you. Lend an ear for I have not forgotten thee.
Even when my bones are pressed to dust. Never shall I forget
The evening of my greatest debt, this evening of regret.

My mind was all its own. I was locked up deep within.
Many sorrows my dear love, as you know this was my error,
Oh how lamenting am I, as the reason for your terror.
So unsure of what would come, no control that I could see.
From this my reason comes. Lend an ear to hear my plea.

Gazing out across the courtyard,
On a snowy wall, so still.
Savoring an hour of solitude, suffering illusions from the pill.
The night of lucid dreams, from visions of fears so real.
You came upon so suddenly, thus our sorrowful ordeal.

A reaction of panic, of my state you had not known.
My mind, subject to decay from that one last fatal dose,
My escaping sanity shifted liveliness to ghost.
My sin was cast with one motion of the knife.
Mistaken was I, the man who took your life.

Lifeless and slain, you lay here in my arms.
An ending so abrupt, tearing pieces from my soul;
My foolish repercussions left me broken and unwhole.
My darling and my love, my sin you must forgive.
Unable to be absolved. So, no longer must I live.

Dark and misty, no spark to pierce the night.
Glistening metal strike my flesh with no relief.
The life of love is taken. Take the heart of life’s thief.
Never had you doubted me, so heed my mournful plea.
I beg of you, spare my soul, no more shall I remember thee.
