Alyssa Marquardt - Jogging

Jogging down an open road
Don’t know where I will go.
Thinking about many things
Ignoring the tears my thoughts bring.
My feet against the ground,
my hair bouncing all around.
Jogging is the only time
I feel strength of any kind.
My memories bring me sweet sorrow
knowing there wont be more made tomorrow
I go into the wonderful place,
where he put smiles on face.
I sit alone under this tree,
wishing he was here with me.
Down my face comes salty tears.
At least I have no more fears,
For what I feared already came,
and nothing will ever be the same.
