Alpine A390 - Cold tests Kiruna - Driving Video

The development of the Alpine A390 is entering the home stretch. During cold tests in the Arctic Circle in Sweden, the engineering teams of the French sports car brand are currently putting the finishing touches to the new fastback model - before it is presented on May 27, 2025 in Dieppe as part of the celebrations for the brand's 70th anniversary.

During the final tests before the market launch, the technologies that will make the A390 the brand's next flagship are being refined. The extreme climatic conditions in the Arctic Circle make it possible to reproduce the material and technology requirements that correspond to five years of everyday use. The durability and reliability of the future production model are being put through their paces at temperatures of up to -40°. The aim of the driving tests on snow-covered roads and frozen lakes is to achieve the level of performance and agility expected from an Alpine.

Particular attention is being paid to the driving dynamics properties, which are crucial in the development of every Alpine vehicle. Lapland is the perfect testing ground for testing the new A390's technologies, such as the three-electric motor propulsion system, the five driving modes, including the new "Track Mode", and Alpine Active Torque Vectoring. Real-world testing offers the opportunity to experience the driving experience in extreme conditions and to refine the settings and interactions of the various systems.
