Almira Bausley - The Call

Description
Dreading what the next day will hold
I have learned a lot of things in my life mainly how to let go
But have come to a new found respect of how to embrace
All the mystery in this life had fleeted from me
But now I find myself confounded in the wonder of seeing your face
Your eyes glowing seeking me in the darkness
I no longer feel alone
Beckoned to come closer
Impelling me to come home
Blood I see on my hands
But not that of my own
You look at me
And your eyes as fire penetrate my soul
Uncovering things I thought were hidden well
I open my mouth in my defense
But before the words could escape my lips
My heart speaks
Testifying against me
Feeling betrayed I dropp my head in shame
Fear grips me and I try to run away
However my feet are froze in their tracks
Just then voices of accusers ring in my ears
Overflowing within me are fountains of despair
And the vanity of my life mocks me and laughs in my face
Overcrowding me from grace
How can I lie?
With all these voices that surround
Who will hear mine?
I fall to the ground
Tears flow and roll down my cheeks
And at a feeble attempt to plea for my life
I lift my head to meet your eyes
Astonished by what I see
The voices have stopped
And it is only you and me
No words are spoken and yet I hear
Do not fear
The fire in your eyes is quenched
You stretch out to me your hand
Love encompassing me with your smile
Raising me to stand
I reach out back and notice the blood has vanished
And they unite
You turn and we start walking
Off into the night
Step by step in your foot prints
I am guided and surrounded
by your light
And my journey begins
With you at my side.
