ALMA are five young musicians from whose life folk music can not be ignored since time immemorial. All of them grew up in families making music, the confrontation with traditional music from an early age is as important as going to school or Radfahren. Music that doesn't want to go through the intellect, but goes directly to the heart or in the legs. Tradition is clos to ALMA's heart as well as their contemporary interpretation and collective improvisation, because folk music has always adaptions through time and the people living in it.
This can provide the broad repertoire of the group, which is selected with great care and extends from ancient traditional melodies, yodelling and own compositions and new arrangements of what is already known.
