ALLOWANCES CUT FOR 17 PROBATION OFFICERS
Description
Seventeen probation officers are not using their vehicles for work, completely halting mandatory social enquiry reports.
It stems from funding for their mandatory traveling duties being cut for a second time, the first being in 2024.
Now it is said to be placing a serious strain on the system and impeding crucial functions of the Criminal Justice System.
Alicia Boucher spoke to two of the affected officers, and files this report.
