allan James saywell - A Walk Through A Cemetry
0 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
Birds warbled and squabbled and pecked sweet honey
From brilliant flowers, that flowered a tree
Just like a still life that sit on an easel
The artificial pond was brimming with colourful life
Fishes and tadpoles and frogs that sat on green lillies
Artificial gnomes watching in awe
At life, so alive, so alive, like you and me
Just like a still-life, that sit on an easel
Just past the pond, a new world awaited me
Rows and rows of silence greeted me
People spoke of who they were
In written word that lay so still
In the early morning chill
