Allan Farran - Three Syllables

Just a group of words,
like ' I hate you, I love you'.
Looking for a sign or sound,
three syllables.
Like just a word,
three syllables.

It leaves me hazy,
leading me stir-crazy.
This instinct, this thought
of something forbidden.

Searching for that rhythmic sequence
which I will not take.
Now I leave with respect intact!
And with honour I bestow.

I've undressed you,
I've devoured you.
I've walked the tight-rope,
between love and desire.
This I will never tyre.

Viewing from a distance,
I've seen your movement like dance.
Floating about,
within this mantra like dream.
Whilst unable to look,
leaving me with sleep to dream you.
