Allahabad Fort

Allahabad Fort at Allahabad is located at Prayag (sangam of Ganges, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati). It was built by Emperor Ashoka but repaired by Emperor Akbar in 1583. I clicked this from my Blackberry while visiting Prayag Kumbh Mela this year (2013). It was an awesome trip not just because it was the Ardh Kumbh at Prayag but for the fact that I also visited the gem of a park which is named Khusro Bagh. Khushro Bagh that houses 3 magnificent Mughal era mausoleums and of course this fort in picture which is the largest fort built by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar.
