Alison Smith - Why Does A Poet Write?
0 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
Is it a desire to be famous?
Do you want to change the world?
Have you got a story to tell?
Or is it more personal?
Do you feel you have drawn the short straw?
That life is so unfair
To make you have to live this way....
Are you suicidal?
Prone to dispair
Caught in a landslide
And you cant escape the ride...
Then thats why your a poet
So you can analyse
Put down in words what you feel
Some choose a paintbrush
You choose a pen.
Why does a poet write
Because they can.....
