Alison Mary Dunn - Candle
1 Views • Jun 14, 2014
Description
Burning bright
Beneath lovers lips
Blown out at night
I’m stored away
While love goes home
Like prisoners, we
remain alone
I used to be so tall
But now I am quite small
My dreams once lit up buildings
Yet some nights they barely crawl
My flame flickers faster now
As I’m kept crying at our door
And soon I know the night will come
When I shall burn
no more
