Drunken raging
remembrances of childhood
Mummy please don't hurt me!

To be or not to be?
To forgive or not to forgive?
confusion mixed with grief

Four hours in a cell
a sobering reflection
an awful realization

Brown eyes brimful
resistance evaporating
The ecstasy of union - so sweet.

A shared forgiveness
Unconditional acceptance
Till death us do part...
