Description

Amita lived alone
walked the hills
for years
loved the dogs
remembered all their names

Amita leaned,
like the tower of Pisa
wore long sleeves
and braces
parted his thin hair, carefully

Amita spoke
eloquently
pedantically
articulating the names
of all the roads for miles around

Amita died alone.
'Topped himself, '
the locals said.
'Refused the chemo.
Can't really blame him? '
