with Mr. McGregor's face
torn off?

'But mummy, why can't you fix it? '
He was so sad
when I told him
the piece was lost
forever.
Tears spilled out of his blue eyes,
'But I didn't know.
I was only two, mummy! '

He's very fussy now
with his books
all in rows
alphabetically.
He is a Virgo, after all
(sun and moon too
and a Capricorn ascendant)
He even yells at me if I turn a book
on its face.
'Mum don't!
You'll break the spine.'
