her skin is brown
her demeanor is shy
her posture is perfect

Her grandmother has cared
for her since she was five
Her beautiful African mother
tries so hard, but...

Today she came to Yoga
she loved the meditation
She sat with legs crossed
hands resting on her knees

I couldn't believe it -
She was in that place
beyond the beyond
My eyes filled with tears...
