Whitewashed pier in urgent rain
Lays me down upon the sand
Drenched and yielding and again
Gentle in the lover’s hand

Hands that reach from far away
Whispers from some distant dream
As the waves caress the bay
Passion on a tidal stream

Hungry as a fantasy
Dripping with intense desire
O that you could come to me
Touch the water with your fire

Breath that is not silent now
Calls in words you will not hear
Pleasure falling from her brow
Wet with salt spray, like a tear

Will you walk with her a while
Touch the damp and eager skin
Kiss beyond the dawning smile
Find the tender place within

She who is so far away
Lays you down upon the sand
Drenched and yielding and at play
Safe within the lover’s hand
