Until now old Schwartz has lead a quiet life divided between Linda, a young Filipino woman who takes care of him, Aviram, his neighbor who never goes out without his dog, and Mali, whose love affair with Ilan across the courtyard doesn’t bother him at all. But it would appear that everything has got out of synch recently, for now the building constantly resounds with yelling and screaming.
Is it because of Hezi, who has secretly rented an apartment to make love with his mistress, Gabi, whose cries of pleasure bring everyone out of their houses? Or could it be the new neighbors who’re extending their apartment into the courtyard, although they don’t have a building permit? Even Mali has problems. The builder responsible for the extension has set up camp with his Chinese workers outside her apartment. He just happens to be her ex-husband, and to top it off, their son, Eyal, has just deserted the army.
The film chronicles the daily lives of the inhabitants of a building situated at the edge of Tel-Aviv and Jaffa.
