Rain, Andy, Tyler, Kay, Bjorn, and Navarro go prospecting in space. Not exploring. Prospecting. They hit the derelict station Romulus thinking they found a goldmine, because when you hear “abandoned,” your brain apparently translates that to “free stuff.”

It is free stuff. Just not in the “sell it for profit” way. The station has been quiet for a reason, and the movie wastes no time turning their scavenger hustle into a survival problem. The universe’s most terrifying lifeform is out there, and once it clocks them, the tension goes from “what’s that sound?” to “oh, you are absolutely done.”

Alien: Romulus is pure creature-feature energy with nasty claustrophobia. Less talk, more teeth.

Schrott suchen, bisschen hoffen, Geld machen. So klingt der Plan von Rain, Andy, Tyler, Kay, Bjorn und Navarro, als sie auf der scheinbar verlassenen Station Romulus ankommen. Und ja, es gibt “Schätze”. Nur leider auch den Grund, warum hier niemand mehr rumläuft. Kaum sind sie drin, wird aus Neugier schnell Routine. Nämlich die Routine, in Raumanzügen gegen etwas zu bestehen, das nicht mal die Idee von Fairness kennt.

Alien: Romulus verkauft keinen Philosophieunterricht. Das ist Knallhart-Scavenger-Horror im All: enge Gänge, schlechte Entscheidungen, und eine Lebensform, die einfach nur perfekt darin ist, dich zum Problem zu machen. Wenn du auf schnelle Panik, harte Rückschläge und ein bisschen dreckige Nostalgie stehst: rein.
