I hear the gunshot - the race started - but my legs won’t run

I’m trying to breathe but the air can’t be found
I’m trying to die but this body keeps living
I’m trying to love but there’s no one worth giving
I’m trying to sing but I don’t know this song
I’m trying to let you go but your grip is too strong
