Boring bookworms wriggling
for cantabile cants
for the sake of embroiled folios;

pompous scribblers thrashing
through a mindless haze,
wandering like peripatetic
country preachers -
meant to amaze but merely stultify
for all their piety.

Vacuous dribblers’
de rigueur ramblings,
speaking without engaging the mind -
poseurs all - for a moment’s fame.
