Living in the moment,
Suffering from the memories;
Preaching to the wounded,
Hiding your past for security;
But why so much pain,
Why so many scars,
We live our life emotionless,
When it only hurts ourselves;
Pride is left behind,
Leaving nothing left to stand for;
Forgiving criminals in your own life,
Because they too have many battles
behind that door;
With or without consciousness,
We stride for help;
Just praying the end is not what
we are living for.
