Aliah Owens - My Darkness

Would you hate me?
Hate me?
Despise me if you knew the truth

I would hate it
If you despised
Not even able to look me in the face

Like everyone thought was true
I, myself was a true freak
A monster

In fright of me would you run?
Leaving me to truly regret my being
Not wishing to even be alive

I a horrid existence
So I accept that you left like all the others
But I am sad

You went out your way to be my friend
To be the only true one I have ever had
And know I bet you regret your choice

Now you most likely fear and hate me
Like the rest
So in other words I am left alone again

But in truth you will be the only person
I will miss
So sad will I be

But I give every right to hate me
For I hate myself too
And I want it to end but it will never end

Those who have seen my true self
Will die inside themselves
And will be with me

Those who understand are the true ones I care for
But there is no one
So I stand alone
