Inside
There’s a little boy
A fragile tin soldier toy
I know who he is
And what he wants to be
He is trapped inside
And will never leave me
He is good and pure
Heart of an angel I’m sure
Inside
He is painless
Inside
He is stainless
But he wants to come out and play
Into a world in decay
He wants to come out and sing
Climb a mountain and be king
Outside
It’s raining
Storm clouds peeking in
Thunder and lightning sneaking in
Inside
He’s protected
Inside
Cannot be rejected
But he wants the ultimate joy
To conquer a new Troy
He wants to explore a new feeling
Bump his head on a new ceiling
Inside
It’s nice and warm
Inside
He is far from harm
But his nine months are up
Where any little hiccup
He will be OUTSIDE! !
