Alexis Walker - Raped

it happened three years ago.
i was only a child.
he grabbed my wrist
and said stay with me a while.

we talked about our lives
i pretented to be mature
but little did he know
i was fourteen and unsure.

he was in love with my best friend
they'd been together for some time
he said ' ever since the day i met you
ive been waiting to make you mine'

he robbed me of my innocence,
i am no longer pure.
he stripped me of my dignity
i was left bruised and sore.

i did not tell my family.
i did not tell my friends.
i do not want to loose them
but these wounds take long to mend.

i can make it on my own.
in my own mind i am true.
the lord will soon forgive me
of the wrong things that you do.
