Alexander Johnson - No Faith?

In life and death,
Throughout the pain and beauty of the world,
Listless, we walk towards a bleak infinity.
Where are we?
The cursed paradox filled with hope and wicked faith...
Where a pessimist finds truth,
And those with no faith... despair.
And me?
Take me where you will, for my will, will take me,
Where all the hate, sorrow and pain will fade with the terror of endless time,
Where joy and love lie meaningless across the vast oblivion.
I have fought with my daemon, but he will win in the end,
For he does not exist...
Life is with death, that is why...
Why we strive... why we hold onto our hopes and our fears,
And in living in this whispered truth,
This single breath with fleeting warmth, is lost like clouds in a storm.
A beautiful lie with a terrible truth, we know our fate.
I only wish I had faith....
