As I walk down the road
And enter the new world that is home
I think to myself and try to cry
I've had a long and tearful ride
But I know it all started
Down the lonely path

The crows and ravens soar into the sky
Free to go and free to live
It was always hard for me to go that way
Down the lonely path

There's a fire crackling on the ground
And it resembles my soul
Blazing and burning, my soul
The lightning booming in the sky
Resembles my heart
Always powerful
It never was like that
Down the lonely path

The wolf howls at the moon
The hawk flies freely
The children play
And the grown-ups laugh
But all that changes
Down the lonely path

When I see the animals
Eye to eye
The feelings change
Down the lonely path
When the children laugh and play
The feelings change
Down the lonely path

I'm always confused
It was hard to run away
But now I've conquered it
And the spell has broken

If you look into my eyes
You will see a burning fire and a shining light
The hate rampages through me
But the love also heals me

So finally I stand here
After all this time
In the lonely path

The road has now changed

But now I realize
It was always like this

Never changed...
