Description

Zebra
by Alex Lewis

One day, the zebra came to play.
His words were do, his actions were say.
I love the zebra because he loves me.
His yellow-stripped polka dots are what I see.
The zebra is so versatile.
We ran a centimeter and walked a mile.

The zebra though it would be fun
If every maternal wish were done.
So, we cleaned my room, and painted the door,
Killed the cat, and put a bomb within the floor;
We cooked the dinner and took out the trash,
And got drunk with kids and found the elderly to flash.

The zebra then ate some poo,
And flushed some food down the loo.
Zebra and me played a game.
The game was fun, but it was lame.
The zebra can do anything!
Well, except nearly everything.

The zebra never died that day.
It was fun to bury him, anyway.
Before I said goodbye to the beast,
We used nothing to make a feast.
As the zebra went away, he made the doorbell ring.
And I realized, there's two sides to every person and everything.
