Alex Goode - Blackout

It’s all dark and black inside,
Just like me, myself and I.
With a little lonely candle,
That will soon die

With shadows casting everywhere,
And me know not what to do.
I really want talk to someone,
But the question’s who?

Like the candle that shall die,
By its self and all alone.
It makes me think if we share the fate.
But the thought makes me groan.

With the rain starting to fall,
From the dark and eerie sky.
Makes me think about the candle,
And how I wish to die.

The candle that once shone so bright,
Is now forgotten and dead
Just like the thoughts of happiness
They have perished from my head.

The darkness swallows up everything,
In this claustrophobic room.
It puts weird and strange images in my head,
And they all about death and gloom.

With the thought of light that shall soon come back,
And make my life complete.
I realise that this horrid darkness,
Is a morel self defeat.

With pain and anguish falling upon me,
Like the cold, wet rain.
It’s really screwing up my life,
On this wild emotional train.
