The ALDE New Year Seminar will focus this year on the Impacts and perspectives of Europe's single currency. The Seminar will look at whether the Euro is fulfilling its potential, both inside and outside Euroland and what are the perspectives and actions which should be taken in the future

Didier Reynders, Minister of Finance of Belgium and Marco Buti, ECFIN Deputy Director General will introduce the 2 panels in which high-level speakers, such as the Governor of the Slovenian Central Bank and prominent economic analysts, directors of financial institutions, journalists and parliamentarians will take the floor.
