Many initiatives concerning the cross-border co-operation between Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria have been initiated during the period 1997-2003. During that period the framework has been almost completely established.

Currently we are witnessing some of its outcomes, even though there are many projects still developing.The aim of the seminar is to bring attention to the cross-border social, economic and cultural cooperation between the cities located across the border of the three countries. With the support of joint strategies and development programmes, the cross-border cooperation process can contribute to a better regional development and cohesion.
