The ALDE Group, in collaboration with ALDE in the Committee of the Regions, will host the first meeting of the ALDE mayors of the EU.

The aim is to have an exchange of views between ALDE mayors from cities with substantial regional importance and Members of the European Commission and ALDE MEPs.

Presided by Mr. Graham Watson, Leader of the ALDE Group in the European Parliament and Mrs. Flo Clucas, president of the ALDE Group in the Committee of the Regions and Deputy Mayor of Liverpool, the meeting will focus on key issues vital for local governments and where the EU policies can have a direct influence.
