Albino model challenges prejudices

South African law graduate Thando Hopa has become one of the world’s first high-profile models with albinism.

People with albinism – a genetic condition that causes lack of pigmentation and leaves skin white – suffer discrimination in many parts of the world.

Hopa says she wants to combat the ignorance that leads to prejudices against those with the condition.
