Alan Buckley - Easy Way Out

I see beauty from afar,
Never comes close enough.
Always linked to another,
Inextricably woven.

I am a butterfly without wings,
Robbed of its prowess,
Its colour withers,
Fades to grey.

I could look within,
Summon reservoirs of will,
Commit myself to change,
A resolution for revolution.

Show passion for self,
For once in a lifetime,
Though again I'm much more likely,
To take the easy way out.
