Someday, my tree will touch the sky
I was promised
In expectation its leaves rustle in the wind
And whisper a thousand prayers
In its running sap, faith is full
And its roots in the soil go so deep
In the hollow of its branches
Two doves are sheltered, feverish with love
Holding an olive branch
At the tree’s foot, I'm sitting, lonely and dreamy
Eyes closed
Heart open
I was promised
Someday, my tree will reach the sky
And so will my soul

Un jour, mon arbre touchera le Ciel
On me l’a promis
Dans l’attente, ses feuilles bruissent dans le vent
Et murmurent mille prières
Dans son bois court la sève, de foi pleine
Et ses racines, dans le terreau du monde, s’enfoncent
Au creux de ses branches
S’abritent deux colombes, d’amour fébriles
Dans leurs becs, un rameau d’olivier
A son pied, je suis là, solitaire et rêveur
Les yeux fermés
Le cœur ouvert
On me l’a promis
Un jour, mon arbre touchera le Ciel
Et mon âme aussi
