Aitezaz’s Statement Insulting, Shocking: Dr Farooq Sattar

Member of MQM Coordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar said that PPP leader Aitezaz Ahsan’ statement for supporting Khursheed Shah’ comment about the word Mohajir seemed discriminating and insulting.
Addressing to a press conference at Khursheed Begum Secretariat, Dr Sattar said that the Ahsan’s statement caused hurt and pain from a matured and intellectual man. He said that PPP leader criticized MQM’s successful protest rally against Khursheed Shah, but he forgot that every citizen had his constitutional and democratic right to protest.
Members Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement Ahmed Saleem Siddiqui, Arif Khan Advocate, Khalid Sultan and Yusuf Sehwani were also present on the occasion. He said despite protesting against Khursheed Shah’s comment, he offensively exemplified about thefts and robbers among Mohajirs but forgot that such elements prevail every society.
Dr Sattar said that if Aitzaz would study the past 67th years’ political history of the country then he could easily come to know that who looted the country and plundered the wealth of the people and secured it in Swiss banks. He said that PPP’s agenda was to protect land mafias and corrupt elements of the society and even its provincial ministers involved in such malicious deeds.
He said MQM soon published a white paper against provincial government’s discriminatory attitudes with urban Sindh, especially against Karachi and Hyderabad. He said, “We would be glad even if the money was used in Larkana, Dadu, Khairpur and other areas of interior Sindh but unfortunately nothing was done for the developments of those areas.
The MQM leader said, “As much right as you have, to deny the creation of new provinces, we do have to demand for creation the new provinces.” He said that it was injustice mere denying the demand of creation of new provinces because MQM demanded the creation of new provinces considering the population and resources.
Dr Sattar Said, “We are being discriminated for long, especially during the admissions in educational institutions, hiring in government’s jobs and other issues causing extreme deprivation in urban Sindh. He said that PPP always termed illegal and non-democratic act of others if not suitable for it, even if the act was constitutional and lawful.
