Time is passing by in a daze,
Slipping past under my gaze.
I’m powerless to do anything.
Sometimes I wish I had wings.

So I could fly leaving this behind.
Drifting slowly with the wind.
I’m powerless to do anything.
Sometimes I wish I could swim.

Across the vast ocean of despair.
Swimming past so I could be spared.
I’m powerless to do anything.
Sometimes I wish I could run.

Past this misery enveloping me.
A brighter future I could see.
I’m powerless to do anything.
Sometimes I wish I could reverse bad things.

So I could just close my eyes.
Wake up from this bad dream with a sigh.
I’m powerless to do anything.
Sometimes I wish I had wings….
