I think about the time we spent together
the laughs we thought would last forever.
The way you rubbed my face and told me
I was the most beautiful girl you've ever seen.
The tears I shed and the hours
you held me.
The fights we had that bought the tears
our disconnected calls that gave me new fears.
The girls you spoke to and the boys I spoke to
causing jealousy and hurt.
But we always said it will work
no matter the pain.
I love you words I never believed soon
became my favorite words.
We never knew where fate would take us
we just knew it bought us together.
I no longer needed to dream because finally
reality was better than my fantasy.
Now I'm here wondering how our life
could have taken such a complicated turn.
You were my soulmate but somehow I
ended up with my heartmate.
You swore we would last forever but I guess
forever wasn't enough.
...Boy you made me feel so beautiful and now
I know I should have never let you go.
