Aimee Rozen - Disney Endings

I'm living in a fairytale.
I believe my life too
will have a happy ending.
Disney has implanted its basis of
false hope.
I'm imagining my life into reality.
You meant so much more to me
than I to you.
I was blissfully unaware.
Even though my mind is full of
self-doubt
I put my best foot forward
and continue walking
that fine line toward
a happy ending that doesn't exist.
No one is going to come into my life to
sweep me off my feet.
There is no such thing as
love at first sight
in reality.
But since when is the world
living in reality?
Even though It isn't
I am.
I want to believe I too can
be happy.
That I too can
belong.
I want my Disney ending
just like everyone else.
And just like everyone else
I too, will be disappointed.
