Ailey Rivkin - Walk In

She opened the door to the hair shop
“Ding”
Twirling her long brown hair
She took a seat next to her
Best friend
A woman at a desk said
“Ailey”
The girl twirling her brown hair
Got up and sat down in the
Barber chair
One last time she let her
Fingers
Slide down and let the
Hair
Fall threw like sand
She closed her eyes
And heard
“Snip”
“Its so short”
She thought about the recipient
Then heard
“All done”
The once waist length curly brown
Hair
Was now barely able to be
Tucked
Behind the ear
She opened the door
“Ding”
Holding her once twirled long brown hair,
Laughing
With her best friend at her
Side
