Description

People are waiting in silence,
For the infernal ringing,
When all that has been forgotten,
Is that they could listen to the birds singing.
They are hooked into their phones,
And the deprivation of conversation,
Chills them to their bones,
What happened to the British nation?
Once upon a time we wrote letters,
Once upon a time we could all talk,
Without some metal our ears,
Or headsets as we walk,
We used to enjoy the glorious sunsets,
Now we only capture them on our phone,
We are the technological generation,
But we are always on our own.

Many nights have been spent,
Waiting for the infernal ringing,
When all that has been forgotten,
Is that we could listen to the birds singing.
They say it is called,
A Communication Deprivation,
The statement may be rather bold,
Be its clear in this broken generation.
We've lost our will to speak,
our future seems so distant & bleak,
We don't know know what to do.
We don't stop people in the street,
And ask 'how do you do? '
We are the phone generation,
With very little to be said,
Palms itching for a call.
Heck I would rather be in bed.
