You wait for the moment
you give yourself back to yourself
and recognize it.
Take notice of its soft whisper,
before now you could not make out
amongst the screams that took control.
Only this time your eyes open
for the first time
and cross over
Your heart speaks loud
After a long silence
and you hear it clear
It greets you
lifts up its hands
And welcomes you
''I remember you''
It whispers.
