President Biden defends his decision to continue with the American withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan. As the US and its allies leave the region, desperate scenes have unfolded at Kabul airport as people try to leave as the Taliban tighten their grip on the country. We revisit a warning from Chris Purdy from Veterans from American Ideals on 25 June 2021, he warned then that America needed to begin evacuating interpreters in June. Purdy told Stringr on 17 August 2021 that only 1% of interpreters have been evacuated.
