After Abhijit, it's Kakoli?

There is anger over controversial comments by Trinamool Congress MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar with respect to the Park Street rape case. Kakoli claims the victim was with her clients and that it is not an incident of rape. While speaking to TIMES NOW, Kakoli said her comment is based on the report filed by the police. Sources tell TIMES NOW that the Trinamool Congress has asked all its leaders to not respond to any question on Kakoli Ghosh's comment. One year has passed since the Park Street gangrape case shocked the nation, but the victim is still awaiting justice. An Anglo-Indian woman was allegedly raped in a car in Kolkata. The 37-year-old woman, a mother of two, had lodged an FIR that she was raped in a car when she was returning from a night club on Park Street. She alleged that she was threatened at gun-point and was later thrown out of the car.

Congress leaders on Friday (December 28) suggested a 'forgive and forget' approach towards President Pranab Mukherjee's son Abhijit who has apologised after making controversial remarks on women protesters in Delhi against the gangrape incident.
