aeda sea - chicken riddle

three brothers owed a man a favour.
so they thought to pay him with chickens.
with thirty hens.
each brother giving ten.
then
the man to whom the favour was owed said
a mistake has occoured!
the bill is but tewnty five.
the man gave 5 chickens back to them live
to make the five even they split three amongst themselves
and gave the man two hens as a gift.
so realy they each only gave nine.
but nine times three plus the two chicken gift
dosent
equal
thirty.
go figure.
